Honda revealed the updated version of the Civic Type R Concept that will be presented in Paris. The car is painted in a new metallic blue color, with white and red graphics. It has a very aggressive body kit, with strongly accented front and rear bumpers, new side skirts, inflated fenders, big rear spoiler, quad exhaust tailpipes and black alloy wheels.
It will be equipped with a brand new two liter, four-cylinder turbo engine, and while the Japanese company has not officially confirmed the horsepower, the engine will produce “at least” 280 hp, and it will be combined with six-speed manual gearbox.
The concept is believed to be very close to the final form of production and it will be built at the company’s factory in Swindon, England. It is expected to be ready by 2015 and Honda says it will offer performance never seen before from any other previous Type R cars, including the Integra, Accord and even the NSX.
