BMW is preparing a small crossover that will place below the X1 and it will be named 1-Series Sport Cross. The new entry-level crossover will be built on the UKL platform and it will have a length close to 4 meters. The design will differ from that of other models of BMW, having a sloping roof line and many coupe features.

The luggage compartment of the car will be 330 liters and its interior will be similar to that of the 2-Series Active Tourer, having however a more modern design and a new infotainment system with a touchscreen.
It will be available with four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines and it will probably have a plug-in hybrid version. The model will have a starting price close to €30,000 in Germany.
