BMW released the first official photos of the tests of the BMW M6 GT3 that will replace the Z4 GT3. The photos may not be particularly revealing because of the heavy camouflage but the first thing that is particularly evident is the increase of the width of the car and the new body kit which features a new hood, new front and rear bumper and a big rear spoiler.

The car is equipped with a 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers more than 500 hp and it is combined with a 6-speed, sequential gearbox. The power passes to the road via the rear wheels , with the weight of the race car not exceeding 1300 kg.
Testing for the BMW M6 GT3 started previous Saturday in Dingolfing, before the model makes its race debut at various national and international competitions.
