BMW officially unveiled the revamped X3, with the middle Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) of the Bavarian brand to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Three and a half years after the launch of the second generation of the German car, the facelift has many aesthetic changes mainly.

These changes fully maintain the dynamic characteristics of the X3, which now has new light fixtures with dual round headlights therein, which may optionally be LED lights. The car features new front and rear bumpers, with the front have larger air intakes. The side skirts are new, door mirrors have integrated turn signals, a trademark for X models of BMW, and there are many chrome details.

The interior is defined by a high level of quality and uniqueness. It features chrome details, with the center console with the optional automatic climate control system being dressed in glossy black material.

The interior also features a new dashboard, fully electrically adjustable leather seats and a large 8.8 inch screen. The space behind the passenger and luggage space remains unchanged at 550 liters and when the backs of the rear seats are folded it can reach 1600 liters.

Initially it will be available with 4 sets of diesel engines and 3 sets of petrol engines, with the horsepower to start from 150 hp to 313 hp. All engines will be combined with a 6- speed manual or a 8 speed Steptronic automatic transmission.

The BMW X3 sDrive18d will be equipped with a 2 liter four-cylinder engine producing 150 hp at 4,000 rpm with 360 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm up to 2,250 rpm. It can complete the 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds (9.8 with the 8 speed automatic transmission) with a top speed of 195 km/h and an average fuel consumption of 5 to 5.1 l/100 km with 131 to 133 g/km CO2 emissions, when combined with either the 6-speed manual transmission, or when combined with the 8-speed automatic transmission .

The BMW X3 xDrive20d will be equipped with a 2 liter four-cylinder engine producing 190 hp at 4,000 rpm with 400 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm up to 2,250 rpm. It can complete the 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds (also  8.1 with the 8 speed automatic transmission)  with a top speed of 210 km/h and an average fuel consumption of 5.4 to 5.2 l/100 km with 143 to 138 g/km CO2 emissions, when combined with either the 6-speed manual transmission, or when combined with the 8-speed automatic transmission.

The BMW X3 xDrive30d will be equipped with a 3 liter six cylinder engine producing 258 hp at 4,000 rpm with 560 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm up to 3,000 rpm and it will come exclusively with an automatic transmission. It will be able to complete the 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 232 km/h and it will have an average fuel consumption of 5.9 l/100 km with 156 g/km CO2 emissions.

The BMW X3 xDrive35d, will be equipped with a 3 liter six cylinder engine producing 313 hp at 4,400 rpm with 630 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm up to 2,500 rpm. Equipped exclusively with an automatic transmission being able to do the 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds with a top speed of 245 km/h and an average fuel consumption of 6 l/100 km with 157 g/km CO2 emissions.

The BMW X3 sDrive20i will be equipped with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine producing 184 hp at 5,000 rpm with 270 Nm of torque from 1,250 rpm. It will be able to do the
0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to 210 km/h. Equipped exclusively with the automatic transmission having an average fuel consumption of 7 l/100 km and emitting 163 g/km of CO2.

The BMW X3 xDrive28i will be equipped with a 2 liter four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine producing 245 hp between 5,000 to 6,500 rpm with 350 Nm of torque from 1,250 rpm to 4800 rpm  It will be able to do the 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to
230 km/h, with an average fuel consumption of 7.3 l/100 km and 169 g/km of CO2 emissions.

Finally, the BMW X3 xDrive35i will be equipped with a 3 liter six cylinder engine producing 306 hp between 5800-6000 rpm with 400 Nm of torque from 1,200 rpm up to 5,000 rpm. It will be able to do the 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to 245 km/h, having an average fuel consumption of 8.3 l/100 km and emitting 193 g/km of CO2.

It will be available with new exterior colors and new alloy wheels. The new xLine equipment package, will allow owners to give even greater emphasis on the dynamic and robust nature of the SAV BMW X3.
