In the last exhibition of Frankfurt, BMW had presented the Concept X5 Security Plus, an armored X5 and now it’s time for the production version to be released on the streets.
The model will be presented next week at the Moscow exhibition and it meets the requirements of the protection level VR6. BMW expects the model to make sales mainly in South America, Africa and Russia, having an armored passenger cell which offers protection to passengers by AK-47. The windows are bulletproof with polycarbonate coating and the car is equipped with a 4,4 liter V8 TwinPower Turbo engine producing 450 hp, that sends the power to all four wheels.
The chassis, the electronic management systems and braking system have been improved to offer maximum security, while the car can be combined with an LED beacon on the roof with a siren.
