GM will sell the Chevolet Bolt in the Asian market, under the brand of Buick, with the model being named Velite and the company releasing its first teaser photo.

The car will have different bumpers in comparison with the Volt, but it will have exactly the same technical characteristics, being equipped with a 1.5 litre four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 100 hp at 5,600 rpm, combined with an electric motor powered by a 11.4 kWh battery, which is 12% more efficient and weighs 45 kilos less than the battery of the first generation of the Volt.

The combined total horsepower reaches 149 hp while the torque stands at 398 Nm. This power enables the car to reach 96 km/h from a standstill in 8.4 seconds, while its top speed is 158 km/h.

The electric range of the vehicle reaches 80 km and while it is moving as a hybrid, it can do 676 kilometers. The average fuel consumption of the Chevrolet Volt, is 5.6 liters per 100 km.
