Chrysler will present at CES the Portal Concept, an electric stand-alone prototype that features a modern interior loaded with technology that provides a comfortable space for passengers and is lined with high-quality materials.
It has a large glass roof, a large windscreen and large windows that allow natural light to enter in the cabin. There is a large digital display on the top of the dashboard, while a second one is located in the centre which supports gestures. Passengers can share music, photos and videos to their social networks through the systems of the car, while an intercom system allows parents to talk to children who are in the third row of seats.
The car has also sliding doors and it is fitted with an advanced system of sensors, radar, cameras and a computer, that allow it to drive autonomously. Furthermore it has a face recognition system which automatically adjusts the driver’s seat, as well as other settings, while a biometric voice system allows users to use commands such as locking and unlocking of the doors.
It is equipped with an electric motor that is powered by a 100 kW lithium-ion battery, positioned on the floor. When it is fully charged, it provides an autonomy of 250 miles and thanks to a Fast Charger, with 20 minutes of charging it offers an autonomy of 150 miles.
