The Formula 1 is losing more and more of its audience. This is no longer a secret and those responsible for the motor sport have begun long ago to worry. To avoid greater reduction of spectators, the people of F1 decided to create the Promotional Working Group (PWG). The PWG will aim to improve the experience of the viewers and to keep the interest of fans of Formula 1 on the weekends that there is no race.
The first meeting of the PWG was before the race of Abu Dhabi and the President of the newly formed group is the Deputy Chief Williams, Claire Williams, who said:
We will be looking for promotional opportunities for the F1, to ensure that it moves forward.
Although Bernie Ecclestone has said that he is not interested in social media, the PWG will strive to improve the promotion of Formula 1 through social media. All ideas and PWG proposals will pass through the Strategy Group for final approval and implementation.
