The hybrid Q50 is equipped with a system consisting of a 3.5 liter V6, an electric motor and lithium-ion batteries and it yields a total of 360 hp, combined with a 7-speed automatic transmission, while it is also available with an all-wheel drive.

The new engine is a 3 liter, twin-turbo V6 petrol engine, that in its basic version, delivers 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque, but in the high performance version it produces 400 hp and 475 Nm of torque. Infiniti says that this engine has the best ratio of “power-to-efficiency” in its category and that it has a special sensor for measuring the speed of the turbine and a new fin design that allows a 10% increase in the rotational speed of the turbine and thus, improves  the throttle response.

Sales of the 2016 Infiniti Q50 will begin in early 2016, after the presentation of the model at the Detroit auto show.
