Volvo is preparing the new V40, with the vice president of the company Alain Visser, stating that it will be built on the new C-segment Modular Architecture (CMA) platform developed by Geely. The car will be sold in the US and it will be available in a long-wheelbase version especially for the market of China, while it will also be offered with a hybrid engine.

The hybrid version will combine a gasoline engine with an electric motor, with Visser saying also that the XC40 will be unveiled in 2018.
