Joss Developments had presented the JP1 supercar 3 years ago on the sidelines of the exhibition in Australia. Then the company said it would produce the car in the next 1-2 years, but nothing happened. Many speculated that the company was closed, but they are alive and trying to raise money through Kickstarter. Initially, the first five models will be “Track Specials” and will feature a more aggressive body kit.
The car has two seats and uses a cellular subframe, with the body made of carbon. It is equipped with an aluminum 5.0 liter V8 engine mounted in the center producing 563 hp with 560 Nm of torque, which is combined with a 6-speed auto-manual transmission AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) of Albins Zeroshift. The weight of the car is just 900 kg and it is able to do the 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 340 km/h. The production version of the model is expected to cost close to 600,000 Australian dollars.
