A few days before the official presentation of the 2016 Lincoln MKX, its official photos were leaked online. The production model retains the design lines first seen in the MKX concept. It has a beautiful mask with built in LED daytime running lights, panoramic sunroof and plastic protectors. At the rear, it features new lights, dual exhaust tailpipe and the logo of Lincoln.
The interior features higher quality materials, such as leather, wood and metal ornaments while the design is much more modern. There is also a “floating” center console and a new entertainment and information system.
Given that the 2016 MKX is based on the Ford Edge, it will probably be equipped with a 2.7 liter Ecoboost V6 engine producing 300 hp. The power is transferred to the front axle, but the all-wheel drive system sill be available optionally.
