The Midual Type 1 is the first production motorcycle with a longitudinal boxer engine, which is rotated by 90 degrees with respect to the classic BMW twin.
The project dates back to 1992 when the brand was founded in France, which led in 1999 to a prototype 900cc with this particular engine. Unfortunately due to exhaustion of funds it remained only a concept, but after several years it came back, to surprise and fascinate.
It is a vintage classic model, with a twin spar frame that “embraces” the boxer mounted so as to have a head at the front and one towards the rear, with a slight tilt angle to optimize the dimensions. Aesthetically, it is beautiful and curious, technically its 1000 air-cooled two-cylinder DOHC with 4 valves is capable of 106 hp and 100 Nm of torque at speeds typical of a twin cylinder. It has a wheelbase of 1,505 mm and it weighs 227 kilos.
It features 7 analogue instruments on the tank and the seat can be customized with many different colors and finishes. The Midual Type1 will be sold starting in 2016 with delivery throughout Europe and a 4 year warranty. It will be produced in only 35 pieces and it will be a truly unique bike!
