MINI presented augmented reality glasses, similar to Google Glass. The prototype glasses are a creation of the BMW Designworks and Qualcomm, they are called Augmented Vision Concept and they will be presented at the Shanghai auto show.
The glasses are fitted with several interesting features, with one of them beeing the “X-Ray View/transparent vehicle parts”, with the glasses to allow the driver to see between the front pillars and doors of the car.
The glasses also feature a Head-up display, that shows the speed display, speed limits, and many more info. Finally the glasses also feature the Augmented Parking system, which facilitates the parking of the car, displaying on the glasses images recorded by cameras that are located in the side mirrors of the car.
