About a month ago, Chevrolet confirmed that the 2015 Camaro will be “the last of the fifth generation,” which means that the new model is approaching.
Latest rumors say that the 2016 Camaro will have a longer wheelbase and that it will be based on the Alpha platform, the same platform that is used for the Cadillac CTS. This means that the wheelbase will be about 5.8 centimeters longer, reaching 2.9 meters, whilst also being several kilos lighter.
Mechanically, there is a high probability that it will be equipped with a new 2-liter four-cylinder engine, also coming from the Cadillac CTS, with horsepower close to 272 hp and torque of 399 Nm. Lets hope that the rumors are wrong, Camaros are meant to have big block V8s!
