Audi had presented the new RS3 Sportback in mid-December and now they released new photos of the car in a blue (Sepang Blue) and in a white color with the DTM driver Mattias Ekstrom driving the car in snow.
The car is equipped with a 2.5 liter five-cylinder TFSI engine, delivering 367 hpand 465 Nm torque, available from 1625-5550 rpm, combined with the upgraded 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission with changes of speed to be faster than the current model. The power passes to all four wheels via the Quattro all wheel drive system, which is equipped with torque vectoring. These figures allow the 1.520 kg car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.3 sec, having a top speed of 280 km/h.
Stylistically, the second generation of the RS3 features a new body kit with wider fenders, a new front bumper with large air intakes, new side skirts, a rear small spoiler, a diffuser and two oval exhaust tailpipes.
The interior of the new RS3 Sportback has subtle changes, which include leather upholstery, sports seats, multifunction steering wheel lined in leather and alcantara, leather gear knob, new unique graphics on the dashboard and stainless steel pedals. The extra equipment, features the RS bucket seats with integrated side airbags, which reduce the overall weight by 7 kilos compared to the normal ones.
The RS3 Sportback will go on sale from next March, with a price in Germany of €56,600 euro. The first deliveries will be made in the summer of 2015.
