At Goodwood, Nissan unveiled the Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo. The prototype car for the Gran Turismo 6. The Japanese company describes it as “a vision of a future Nissan High Performance car”, the prototype has a 2+2 layout and is heavily influenced by the GT-R.
The prototype was developed by a group of young designers of the European part of Nissan, while they were in constant collaboration with an advanced team of engineers from the Nissan Technical Center in Atsugi city, Japan. Created from white paper, by using the latest technology. After the first draft on the computer, Nissan overtook the construction phase of the model in clay and went straight to digital imaging concept. This allowed them to focus on unparalleled aerodynamics of the car which will be a “huge advantage in the game itself.”
It features futuristic and aerodynamic design. On the front we find the now familiar V shape, with by thin LED headlamps, large air intakes, exhaust tailpipes on the side and a vented hood. Moving back, the body has several curves, with the rear having double round LED light clusters, while other notable features are the lowered windshield, the 5-spoke alloys, the carbon spoiler and the enormous diffuser .
