Sébastien Ogier won the Polish Rally, the race that replaced the Rally Acropolis in the calendar of the WRC. This was the 11th consecutive victory for Volkswagen in WRC, with Ogier saying that:
I think it was a great weekend for me. I’m quite happy, with the victory which is an important step for the league. The stages were fast. I enjoyed the Polo R WRC.
Olgier was followed by Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), the second podium for the i20 WRC. Jari-Matti Latvala (Volkswagen) was 5th, overcoming mechanical problems which cost him 1.5 seconds at Saturday. The league will continue, perhaps the most famous race of the year, the rally conducted in Finland at 31/7/2014-3/8/2014.
