At the 1995 Geneva auto show, Bertone presented the Lancia Kayak concept. The prototype was designed keeping in mind the legendary Italian cars of the 50s and 60s. The long bonnet, the cabin that was placed backwards and the end the roof were some of the highlights of the concept.
About a year later, Bertone presented at the Turin auto show a working prototype of the Kayak. The car was based on the Lancia Kappa and both cars had similar interiors.
