Mercedes presented the C63 AMG in Paris. Initially the car will be available in sedan and estate versions and later in coupe and cabrio, the new C63 AMG is available in a “simple” and an S version. Both version are equipped with the new 4,0 liter V8 twin-turbo engine which for the C63 AMG delivers 476 hp and 650 Nm of torque and for the C63 AMG S 510 hp and 700 Nm of torque.

The power passes to the wheels via the  double clutch seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission, which promises faster changes, especially in the Sport + and Manual operation programs via aluminum paddles behind the steering wheel. The 0-100 km/h comes in 4.1 seconds (4.2 seconds for the Estate) with the S version to do it in 4 seconds (4.1 for the Estate). In terms of top speed in all cases, it is limited electronically to 250 km/h.

Mercedes-Benz equips the C63 AMG with a mechanical rear limited slip differential, the C63 AMG S is wearing an electronic locking rear differential, with an optional sports audio system available in both versions. The C63 AMG S also features dynamic engine mounts, derived from AMG GT, which adjust their stiffness in a split second, depending on conditions and driving style. The C63 AMG stands on 18 inch wheels, the C63 AMG S on the other hand on 19 inch ones.

The interior features sports leather bucket seats, a three-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel, aluminum pedals, carbon background on the instrument panel with a top speed of 320 km/h and Burmester audio. The entire interior is lined with leather upholstery and the dashboard is from ARTICO.

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and will be offered in “Edition 1” version during the first year of the model’s production. This version will feature forged 19 inch matt black rims with red accents and black shiny ornaments in the grille, mirrors and front bumper.
