The Section of Smart Devices of the Police of Dubai, is testing Google Glass and develops applications to help the police.
More specifically, speaking on the matter, Colonel Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi said :
“The glasses will allow the policemen to take photos of traffic violations, which will go instantly into our system, and there will also be other applications that will help us identify wanted cars”
To take a photo, the only thing needed to be done by a policeman is to touch one side of the device and the picture goes automatically to the servers of the police department, along with the location and time/date. In another case, the police officer simply looks the sign of the car and the application automatically searches the database. Simple as that. This is the future of policing. A very high-tech future.
