Porsche wa already thinking from last year to release the 911 plug-in hybrid and now the CEO of Porsche, Matthias Mueler, has released a statement regarding the matter.
Mueler said:
This is a technique with which we are familiar in Porsche, so we can assume that we could have a plug-in hybrid editions across our range. Not just to reduce consumption but to improve the performance of our models.
Currently, Porsche has 3 plug-in hybrid models: the 918 Spyder, a version of the Cayenne and the Panamera. According to the company, 15% of sales of the Panamera in the US and 10-12% of the sales of the Cayenne, are these versions.
