Dr Heinz-Jakob Neusser of Volkswagen Group, confirmed for the first time the launch of the production version of the Golf R400.
The two-liter turbocharged engine of the car may deliver more than 400 hp, according to Neusser. The car will be combined with an all-wheel drive system and a new 10 speed DSG, dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The car will not differentiate much from the Golf GTI and the Golf R, with the only difference being the slightly different aero package. The car will have a starting price close to €50,000.
