Range Rover celebrates 45 years

Land Rover 45 years ago, presented the Range Rover. The first generation of British SUV was launched in 1970 and initially it was available only as a two-seater car with a V8 engine. In 1981 the company presented the four-door version, while in 1986 the car was available with a diesel engine.

In 1989, the Range Rover became the first SUV available with ABS and in 1992 it became the first SUV with ETC (Electronic Traction Control) and automatic electric air suspension. The second generation was introduced in 1994 and the third in 2001. In 2012, the fourth generation was launched and it was the first full aluminum SUV.
