Range Rover will present in the Geneva auto show, the Velar, continuing its range expansion policy. Today the British company released the first official photos and information of the model.
The name of the car comes from the Latin word “velare”, which means cover. The new model will be positioned between the Range Rover Evoque and the Sport and it will be the main competitor of the Porsche Macan and the BMW X4 and X6. Its code name is L560 and it is the fourth addition to the range of Range Rover. It will be based on the Jaguar F-Pace and it will have a length close to 4.7 meters.
Mechanically the four-door coupe SUV model will be available with 2-liter and 3-liter four-cylinder and six-cylinder in-line petrol and diesel engines, while at the top of the range the company will offer its SVR version.
