Renault announced that their new crossover will be named Kadjar. The name of the first C-segment crossover of the French company comes from the words Kad, inspired by the word and “quad” and Jar, inspired by the words “jaillir”, meaning flexibility and agility.
The car will be based on the new Nissan Qashqai and it will be built on the CMF platform of Nissan, borrowing design elements from the Captur.
It will be available with petrol and diesel engines, with the power to pass on the front or on all wheels. The official presentation of the car will be made at the Geneva auto show in March. Sales of the Kadjar will begin in the fall.
