Apollo Automobil announced that Roland Gumpert, the man who founded Gumpert Sportwagen Manufaktur GmbH, has left the company since last June. In 2014 the company Ideal Team Ventures Ltd acquired Gumpert’s company and renamed it to Apollo Automobil Ltd.
Last March at the Geneva auto show, the company presented the Apollo Arrow, a prototype that will eventually pass into production in collaboration with Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) and Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT).
The car is codenamed Titan and it will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in summer of 2017. It will be equipped with a V12 atmospheric engine producing 700 hp with 800 Nm of torque and it will be able to move only on racetracks. The road legal version will be presented later, it will be called Apollo S Arrow and it will have a V8 engine.
