According to rumors, BMW has launched exploratory talks with McLaren for a possible collaboration that will result in a mid engine super car, with a carbon fiber chassis from McLaren and a V8 engine that will produce approximately 750 hp, from BMW.
Apart from the engine and advanced aerodynamics that will be handled by BMW, everything else be taken care of by McLaren, the suspension, the steering and the braking system, will be derived from the English company. This project is still in its beginning and the rumored super car will not go into production before 2019.
