Samsung announced officially that the are creating a new sector that will focus on product development especially for automakers. In particular, it will focus on the development of infotainment systems and autonomous driving technology.
Samsung is already active in the automotive sector, since besides their cooperation with Renault at Renault Samsung Motors, they have developed parts like the curved OLED display of the Audi Prologue Concept and the batteries of the BMW i3 and i8. Simply, it is the first time that the Korean company will unite all its different functions regarding cars, in one sector.
