Mercedes is testing at Nürbrugring the long version of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class. So far we know that the model with the elongated wheelbase will be called Maybach and it will be presented in November in Los Angeles, becoming practically the answer of Mercedes to the Bentley Mulsanne and the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
Rumours say that it will cost around €200.000 and it is sure to be equipped with that is available in the lists of S-Class while the logic imposes some kind of variation in design compared to the “simple” S-Class, but further information is not available.
The wheelbase will be at 200 mm longer than that of the S-Class LWB, with its length reaching 5.500 mm, it will be equipped with the same engine as the S65 AMG that delivers 630 hp and 1000 Nm of torque.
