Renault announced that the hybrid version of the new Megane, which was presented last week at the Frankfurt auto show will be launched in 2017 and it will combine a diesel engine with an electric motor.

The Megane Hybrid will feature an energy recovery system during braking and it will consume less than 3 liters/100 km and it will emit only 76 gr/km. Renault did not describe in detail the operation of the system, but they stressed that it will provide additional acceleration, especially at low speeds.
