Volvo will build a new modular platform for the XC40 and the next generation of the V40. The XC40 will be built on the CMA platform developed by Volvo with the parent company, Geely.





The Volvo XC40 will be launched in 2018

The XC40 will be unveiled in early 2018, with the new V40 and V40 Cross Country to be presented a year later. These models, according to the CEO of Volvo Hakan Samuelsson will be available three-cylinder and four-cylinder engines of the Swedish company and a plug-in hybrid, while from 2020 onwards they will have autonomous driving functions.
