The exhibition in Essen opened its gates for another year and there the Tune it! Safe! project was presented. Tune it! Safe! is a project between the German Ministry of Transport and VDAT (German Automobile Association), which aims, to promote safe information for a reliable tuning.
This year a BMW X4 tuned by AC Schnitzer was chosen and it was dressed in police colors. It is the 10th special car that is presented by Tune it! Safe! and it has new bumpers, side skirts, diffuser, quad tailpipes, lower suspension by 30 mm front and 25 mm rear and new 22 inch wheels with 265/30 tires. The interior features aluminum pedals and new floor mats.
Under the hood, the 2.0 liter turbo engine has been strengthened and produces 245 hp with 350 Nm of torque, being able to do the 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, having a top speed of 212 km/h.
