The Venturi VBB-3 managed to reach a top speed of 340.5 mph (548 km/hour) at the Bonneville salt flats in Utah, USA. This speed makes the Venturi VBB-3 have the new record for highest top speed of an electric car at Boneville.
The Venturi VBB-3 is equipped with two electric motors that produce together 3,000 hp with 2.800 Nm of torque and are powere by 2,000 cells of Lithium Iron Phosphate LiFePO4 batteries.
The goal of Venturi is sometime within the next five years to reach a speed over 400 mph (643 km/h).
