Audi has presented earlier this week the Prologue Avant concept, which is described as “a new interpretation of the Avant philosophy”. Yesterday they presented the car in a video. The Avant concept is an impressive station wagon vehicle with a wide grille and Matrix Laser lights. Further back, we see a “sculptured” body with muscular fenders and doors without handles. The Prologue Avant concept, has also a spoiler at the end of the roof, three-dimensional rear lights and 22 inch alloy wheels.

The interior features aluminum, wood and leather. The design is “clean” and modest but the car has abundant technology. It can carry 4 passengers in 4 individual seats while the long center console appears to cross the entire cabin giving a feeling that it hovers.
The concept is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 3 liter TDI, an electric motor and an ion-lithium 14.1 kWh battery. The combined performance of this system is 455 hp and 750 Nm of torque, that enables the Audi Prologue Avant concept, to do the 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds with the top speed to be electronically limited to 250 km/h.
