Volvo is preparing the S90, the new flagship that will replace the aging S80, the S90 will also be offered in an estate version, called V90. The car will be based on the SPA platform used by the XC90, from which it will borrow design elements.
Mechanically the car will be probably available with the same range of engines as the second generation of the XC90. The S90 and V90 will be built side by side at the company’s factory in Daqing city of China. Of course there will be a hybrid version that will be wearing the same hybrid powertrain of the XC90 T8. The car will be probably presented in the second half of the year, with sales to begin in 2016.
