Volvo has announced that they will build a new plant at the State of South Carolina. This plant will become the first plant located in US, for the company and Volvo will invest more than $500 million in it, to significantly increase its presence in America.
The new plant will be built in Berkeley of Ridgeville. Its capacity will be 100,000 units per year and it will built the latest generation of Volvo models that are intended for both the US market and for export. The first car is expected to come off the production line in 2018.
