Subaru officially unveiled today in the Chicago auto show the new generation of the Legacy, which unfortunately does not have the beautiful elements of the prototype. The length has grown by 41 mm reaching 4.795 mm, the wheelbase has been kept within 2.751 mm. The width reaches 1.840 mm and height 1.500 mm. Subaru claims that the rear seating space for the passengers has grown, also the boot has grown, reaching 425 liters.

It will be available with two engines, a 2.5 -liter DOHC four-cylinder engine producing 175 hp at 5,600 rpm with 236 Nm of torque at 4,100 rpm , and a 3.6 -liter DOHC six-cylinder engine producing 255 hp at 6,000 rpm with 335 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. Both engines come with a Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission.

At the interior it features top quality materials, like a new center console and a new dashboard. Equipped with EyeSight, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross and Traffic Alert systems. Subaru describes the new Legacy as a midsize sport sedan model which offers improved driveability and functionality, while offering a quality feel .

Sales will begin in the U.S. in summer and the car will be available in three trim levels (Standard, Premium and Limited).
