For many years, the Yenko Chevrolet, one of the GM dealerships in Pennsylvania, was building a powerful Chevrolet exploiting the then almost unknown “Central Office Production Order” -COPO- of the company. The highlight of the dealership’s creations was the 1969 Yenko Camaro, equipped with 7 liter supercharged, V8 engine producing 425 hp.
The modern Yenko Camaro, is a creation of SPL Specialty Vehicles. Under the hood of the 2015 Camaro, there will be a 7-liter V8, which thanks to an Eaton TVS 2300 supercharger, delivers 700 hp combined with either a manual or automatic transmission.
Only 50 cars will be built, with the car to be considered as the first authentic Yenko since the dealership closed.
