Some new photos of the Citroen C3-XR were released, except that this time they are official. The crossover is the production version of the C-XR Concept, which debuted at the Beijing auto show.
China is a crucial market for Citroen, and that’s why we see models like the DS 6WR and DS 5LS only target that market. The C3-XR will be presented this November in Guangzhou and it is essentially a version of the Peugeot 2008 with the logos of Citroen.
In the basic version it will be equipped with a four-cylinder naturally aspirated 1.8 liter engine with unknown horsepower, while it will also be available with a 1.6 liter turbo with 163 hp with a start/stop system. It will be manufactured in China by the consortium Citroën & Dongfeng Motor Group and among other things it has the Grip Control system originally seen in DS 6WR.
