Mazda has announced that they have plans to resurrect the MPS (Mazda Performance Series) series of models.
The chief engineer of the Mazda2 unveiled that MPS is not dead and that the Mazda2 could get an MPS version. Mazda has not yet revealed what the characteristics of these future models will be (performance, improved dynamics or a combination of both).
In addition to the head of global public relations, Hidetoshi Kudo, had declared that the new MX-5 could get an MPS version, although “could” means that there is also the possibility that the MX-5 will not have an MPS version, we will wait and see if Mazda will make an “official” statement about the subject in the coming days.
