The Mazda MX-3 Concept was presented at Tokyo in 1985. It was equipped with a 2.0-liter, three rotor, supercharged engine. It had an electronically controlled permanent four-wheel drive system and an adjustable suspension height.
It could carry 4 people and its body was low and had excellent aerodynamics, since its drag coefficient was only 0.25 Cd! It was able to produce 315 hp that helped it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 4.7 seconds and have a top speed of 290 km/h, with tis performance being similar to that of the Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari Testarossa and Porsche 911 Turbo. The Mazda MX-3 that was launched in 1991, has nothing to do with this concept.
