McLaren presented the 540C at the Shanghai auto show. The entry-level model of the English company, features alloy wheels of 19 and 20 inches and a slightly different design compared to the 570S.
The car is equipped with a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 540 hp and 540 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed gearbox. The car is able to do the 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds come, with its top speed reaching 320 km/h.
The car features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and the extensive use of aluminum, so that it can weight 1,311 kilos.
The interior features leather upholstery, an infotainment system that uses a 7 inch screen and satellite navigation.
The 540C will be the most affordable car in the range of McLaren with its price starting from £126,000 and it will be offered worldwide, with the orders being already opened and the first deliveries scheduled for the first quarter of 2016.
