Jaguar took the decision to cancel the RS and RS GT names, for their future sporty models and name them SVR. John Edwards, head of Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) of Jaguar Land Rover, said that the public was confused by the two names, so the company decided to keep the SVR name.

The next model of the company that is expected to wear the SVR logos will be the Jaguar F-Type SVR. The quick version of the F-Type, which will be equipped with a 5 liter V8 engine producing over 600 hp.
