Jaguar-Land Rover, announced that they will build a new assembly plant in Slovakia, with the first cars to be scheduled to roll off the production line in 2018.

The factory will be built in Nitra, a city in western Slovakia and it will have the capacity to produce around 300,000 cars annually. JLR considered the possibility to construct their plant elsewhere, but they chose Slovakia because it is close to a strong supply chain and it benefits from a good logistics infrastructure.
