Pininfarina presented at the 1968 Geneva auto show the Ferrari 250 P5 Berlinetta Speciale. The car was built on the chassis of the P4 and it was equipped with a 3 liter V12 engine.

The car was designed to show us details of the design and aerodynamics that would be used on future production models of Ferrari. The Ferrari 250 P5 Berlinetta Speciale had Gullwing doors and it was the first Ferrari that had a glass cover for the engine.
