RM Sotheby’s is selling a 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione ‘Tour de France’. Apart from its beauty, the car with a chassis number 0557GT, is the fifth of a total of 7 250 GT Tour de France wearing the body of Scaglietti.
The car was originally purchased by Marquis Alfonso de Portago, who participated in the racing series Tour de France Auto. Through the years it won many races and it retired after the race Mille Miglia in 1957.
