Back in 2000 Pininfarina presented the Ferrari Rossa. The car was based on the chassis of a 550 Barchetta, while it was equipped with a 5.5 liter V12 engine producing 485 hp at 7,000 rpm and 568 Nm of torque, at 5,000 rpm.

The prototype never went into production, but it contributed in its own way at some future cars of the Italian brand, as it lent design elements to the 612 Scaglietti and the Enzo.
