Volkswagen wants the interiors of their future models to be buttonless

Earlier this year, Volkswagen introduced the Golf R Touch concept. A prototype that shows the interior design of models, that the German company will follow in the near future. This was also confirmed by Heinz-Jakob Neusser at the margins of the Frankfurt auto show, where he said that VW is very near to remove buttons from the interiors of their models.

This does not mean that all the functions of a car will be controlled by touch. VW will equip their future cars with touch controls, voice controls and gesture controls. The objective is the handling of any subsystem with the least possible distractions and this objective according to Neusser will be accomplished by removing buttons and switches.
