Volkswagen presented officially the T-Roc, the production version of the T-ROC Concept that was presented at the Geneva auto show of 2014. The T-Roc has an extremely bold and elegant design, with its front being dominated by a wide, hexagonal grille and beautiful lights.

Its sides have sculptured surfaces and toned fenders, with the chrome strips to add extra beauty to the look of the vehicle. The roof or of the car is available in four colors (Deep Black, Pure White Uni, Black Oak and Metallic Brown), so as to create a two-tone appearance with the rest of the body.

In terms of dimensions, the T-Roc is 4.234 mm long, it is based on the MQB platform, with its wheelbase being 2,603 mm. Its width reaches 1,819 mm, while its height touches 1,573 mm. The company reports that the car has a low center of gravity, compared with other SUVs, which improves its dynamic characteristics.

Its interior features a digital 11.7-inch instrument panel, a 6.5 inch screen for the infotainment system and a three-spoke steering wheel. Its cabin can accommodate five passengers and its luggage space amounts to 445 liters that can reach up to 1,290 liters with the rear seats folded.

Mechanically, the T-Roc will be available with a 1.0-liter TSI engine producing 115 hp and 200 Nm of torque, which will be paired exclusively with 6-speed manual transmission, a 1.5-liter TSI with 150 hp and 250 Nm, which will be available with either a 6-speed manual transmission, or a 7-speed DSG. The power will be transferred to the front axle, while an all-wheel drive system will be offered only with automatic gearboxes.

Finally, at the top there will be the a 2.0-liter TSI producing 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque, which will be paired exclusively with a 7-speed DSG dual clutch transmission and the 4Motion four-wheel drive system.

In terms of diesel engines, the basic model will be equipped with a 1.6-liter TDI with 115 hp and 250 Nm of torque, which will be combined solely with a 6 speed manual transmission, a 2.0-liter TDI engine delivering 150 hp and 340 Nm of torque, which can be combined with either a 6-speed manual transmission or with a 7-speed DSG, with the power to be transferred either to the front or all wheels, with both gearboxes.

At the top of teh range of diesels, there will be a 2.0-liter TDI delivering 190 hp and 400 Nm, which will be paired exclusively with a 7-speed DSG dual clutch transmission and the 4Motion four-wheel drive system.
